About
This site provides access to photographs by Dan Smith. There are over 8,000 people with that name in the United States. These are only the photos from Dan Smith of West Friendship, Maryland. AKA Danford Smith. I have about 100,000 photos stored on-line or as older prints and plan to periodically review them to create additional galleries of some favorite photos.
Hi there!
A message from Dan
I remember taking my Kodak Instamatic 104 on elementary school trips in the mid-1960’s. In high school, I worked on the yearbook and developed and printed rolls of black and white film in the basement several nights per week. College pictures were for fun. I then did about 20 weddings. Now retired, and with great new digital camera gear, I am trying to up my game a bit. Birds in flight, travel, and photos around our family townhouse in Chincoteague, Virginia top the list. My bucket list is mostly great places to go to take pictures. Enjoy!
Latest camera equipment is a big step up from the old Instamatic: Bodies: Canon R5 and R5 Mark II. Lenses: 15-35mm f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8, 100-500mm f4.5-7.1, 100mm 2.8 macro
Accessories include a GPS tagger and a lightning sensor.
