My long-time friend Claudia has a condo in Cape Town of all places.  Modern city, weather is like LA, seasons opposite of those in U.S., far away retreat.  I visited for a week in and we were able to walk and hike the sites around the town, travel out to see the wild penguins, visit a game preserve for two days and enjoy the food and culture.  Great times!
