Following the death of Renee Good by an ICE agent in Minneapolis protests for around the country were planned on short notice. The photos below are from Columbia, Maryland.
As part of the evolving celebration of the 250th birthday for the U.S., I went to Washington DC in early January. There was a small protest in front of the White House over the U.S. push into Venezuela to grab their President and their oil. In the evening, I took pictures of the Capitol and the Washington Monument (not yet renamed in honor of the current President). The National Park Service projected amazing images on the Washington Monument. The Capitol is seen just to the side and is actually two miles from where I stood at the Lincoln Memorial.
