Went with Andy and Vera for an afternoon whale watching trip out of Newport Beach, CA in February 2026 after finishing up a conference near the airport.  Lots of dolphins, a couple of whales, and some great seal and cormorant subjects.  Met one woman from Germany who was livestreaming her entire visit to the U.S. (who would watch all that?!).  The cormorant had just caught a sculpin near the rocky shore.
