Cuba March 2023

These photos were taken during a March 3-10, 2023 "visit in support of the Cuban people".  Per U.S. regulations, I was not a tourist and it was not a vacation.  I took 100 bars of soap, hundreds of pens and pencils, medicines, and 3 soccer balls as donations.  The trip was a 12-person photography tour with Essdras Suarez, a Pulitzer Prize winning photographer who has been to Cuba 50 times.    I will always remember the Cuban people and how they live with so few resources and how proud they were of their country.  It was a step back to a simpler time and a different culture just an hour’s flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  Amazing!
